The second Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum is scheduled to take place in Tashkent on August 26-27, according to Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic. This event follows the success of the inaugural forum held in Belarus last year.

Natalya Kochanova highlighted the importance of the upcoming forum, noting the tight schedule as the event draws near. She reflected on the success of the first forum, where significant progress was made. “The first Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum was a remarkable achievement. We hosted numerous businesswomen and managed to sign 15 contracts worth approximately Br100 million,” Kochanova stated.

The success of the initial forum has set high expectations for the upcoming event. The Belarusian government, guided by the directives of President Alexander Lukashenko, aims to surpass the previous year’s results. During the president’s visit to Uzbekistan in February, a comprehensive plan to enhance bilateral cooperation was established. The forthcoming forum is intended to advance the agreements made during this visit and further strengthen business ties between the two countries.

Kochanova emphasized the need for effective collaboration and high-quality organization to ensure the forum’s success. “Our goal is to support our hosts in delivering a top-notch event that will also bring tangible economic benefits to Belarus,” she added.
