Trailer: “My Husband’s Wife Was Dead” – Lifetime

Lifetime’s new thriller, “I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead,” premieres August 3rd at 8/7c. Based on Minka Kent’s novel, it stars LeToya Luckett and Sherilyn Allen.

Lifetime adds suspense to its August lineup with the new original movie “I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead.”

Premiering Saturday, August 3rd at 8/7c on Lifetime, the trailer was revealed yesterday.

Based on the novel “Unmissing” by bestselling author Minka Kent, the thriller stars two-time Grammy Award winner LeToya Luckett, Sherilyn Allen, and former pro football player Jamall Johnson. Angela “Black Chyna” White also features in the cast.

“I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead” follows Lola Winters (Sherilyn Allen), a beautiful wife and expectant mother who seemingly has it all – a big house, a dashing husband Leo Winters (Jamall Johnson), and a thriving restaurant business. Her perfect life is disrupted when Tori (LeToya Luckett), a ghost from the past, shows up after being missing and presumed dead for five years, searching for her husband Leo.

Tensions rise and lives are upended as Tori’s unexpected return raises questions about her motives and why she hasn’t contacted the police. Seeking to start anew, Tori demands a hefty sum from the Winters, but before she can leave town, a bombshell revelation uncovers even darker secrets.

Produced for Lifetime by JPS Productions Inc., “I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead” is executive produced by Stacy Mandelberg and Tamara T. Gregory, with Navid Soofi producing. Troy Scott directs the film, with a screenplay by Tamara T. Gregory, based on Minka Kent’s book “Unmissing.”
