Uztelecom, Uzbekistan’s leading telecom provider, has achieved a significant milestone by extending its 5G network to all regional centers throughout the country. This expansion marks a new era for the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure, following the initial rollout of 5G in the capital city, Tashkent, back in 2022.

The company announced that it has successfully deployed over 3,500 5G base stations across Uzbekistan, ensuring extensive coverage that brings high-speed internet to more citizens. The enhanced connectivity promises faster, more reliable services, enabling users to experience the full potential of next-generation technology.

Speaking on this landmark achievement, Temur Mansurovich, deputy director of the UzMobile division at Uztelecom, emphasized the importance of this expansion. “The nationwide deployment of our 5G network is a major leap forward in modernizing Uzbekistan’s telecom infrastructure. Residents and visitors can now enjoy next-generation internet and explore a range of new digital possibilities.”

The introduction of 5G technology opens new avenues for innovation, fostering the growth of industries such as healthcare, education, and commerce. With ultra-fast speeds and reduced latency, the new network will not only enhance user experiences but also support the development of smart cities, boosting Uzbekistan’s economic and technological growth.

Despite being the largest telecom operator in the country, Uztelecom faces competition from other providers like Ucell and Mobiuz, both of which launched their own 5G networks in 2022. However, with its extensive network and widespread deployment, Uztelecom continues to lead the charge in providing cutting-edge digital services nationwide.

The expansion of 5G is a key step toward positioning Uzbekistan as a digitally connected nation. As global demand for advanced telecommunications increases, Uztelecom’s initiatives are helping to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that even the most remote areas of the country have access to high-speed internet.

Uztelecom’s continued efforts to upgrade its infrastructure and deliver top-tier services demonstrate the company’s commitment to innovation. The successful 5G rollout will not only elevate Uzbekistan’s technological capabilities but also unlock new opportunities for economic development and digital inclusion, making it a pivotal moment in the country’s digital future.
