Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Trade Turnover Hits $614.2M in H1 2024

Turkmenistan’s trade turnover with Uzbekistan reached $614.2 million in H1 2024, up 38.1% year-on-year, with a notable rise in exports.

Turkmenistan’s trade turnover with Uzbekistan reached $614.2 million in the first half of 2024, marking a significant 38.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when it was $444.5 million. This growth underscores Turkmenistan’s prominent role in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade.

Turkmenistan’s exports to Uzbekistan saw a substantial rise, totaling $553.7 million from January to June 2024. This figure represents a 54.5% increase from $358.2 million in the first half of 2023. Conversely, imports from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan fell by 42.6%, amounting to $60.5 million compared to $86.3 million in the previous year.

Uzbekistan’s overall foreign trade turnover with other countries during the first six months of 2024 exceeded $31.8 billion, reflecting an 8.5% increase from $29.3 billion in the same period of 2023.

In 2023, the total trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan reached $1.09 billion, marking a 17.8% increase from $928.6 million in 2022.
