Kyrgyzstan Wins 19 Medals at Hand-to-Hand World Championship

Kyrgyz athletes won 4 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze medals at the Hand-to-Hand Fighting World Championship in Russia, showcasing their martial arts prowess.

Kyrgyz athletes showcased their exceptional prowess at the Hand-to-Hand Fighting World Championship, held from August 3-7 in Orel, Russia. Competing against top contenders from around the globe, the Kyrgyz team emerged victorious, bringing home a remarkable tally of 19 medals, including four gold, five silver, and ten bronze. This achievement highlights Kyrgyzstan’s growing prominence in the world of martial arts.

Hand-to-Hand Fighting

The Vice President of the Hand-to-Hand Fighting Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Turatbek Dzholdoshev, proudly announced the results during a press conference, commending the athletes for their dedication and hard work. The gold medalists, who now hold the title of world champions, include Meerimai Nuradilova, Sayan Toktosunov in the youth category, Nazarbek uulu Bekarstan, and Turatbek Dzholdoshev in the veterans’ division.

With over 100 athletes from 26 countries participating, the competition was fierce. The Kyrgyz team’s success is a testament to their rigorous training and unwavering spirit. Each medal won is a reflection of the athletes’ resilience and commitment to excellence in this demanding sport.
