The discussions culminated in the signing of documents aimed at enhancing trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.
Leading the talks, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment,
Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with Kuwait’s Minister of Finance and State Minister of Economy and Investment, Noura Suleiman Al-Fassam. The dialogue centered on evaluating the current trade, economic, and investment partnerships between the two nations.
Minister Kudratov emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties, particularly through agreements on preferential trade and collaborative ventures in e-commerce. He also proposed organizing exhibitions such as “Made in Uzbekistan” and “Made in Kuwait” to showcase mutual achievements and opportunities.
Minister Noura Suleiman Al-Fassam expressed Kuwait’s commitment to supporting these initiatives. She pledged to ensure the swift execution of existing agreements and to encourage Kuwaiti companies to invest in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the potential for large Kuwaiti companies to engage in Uzbekistan’s free economic zones was explored.
