Belarus & Turkmenistan Boost Trade, Economic Ties

Belarus and Turkmenistan discuss enhancing trade, economic cooperation, and educational exchanges in a recent meeting.

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Nazarkuly Shakulyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belarus, on 31 July. The discussion, held in Minsk, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on upcoming meetings and visits between the two nations.

Strengthening Economic Cooperation Between Belarus and Turkmenistan

A key topic of the meeting was the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, including the development of commodity distribution networks in Belarus and Turkmenistan. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to strengthening these economic ties, recognizing their importance for mutual growth and prosperity.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the growing humanitarian partnership between the countries. An increasing number of Turkmen students are pursuing their education in Belarus, a trend that both nations see as a positive development in fostering closer cultural and educational connections.

The discussions underscored the shared interest in building a robust and diversified partnership, which is expected to benefit various sectors and contribute to the well-being of the people in both countries.
