Uzbekistan’s Passport Jumps to 78th in Henley Index

Uzbekistan’s passport rises to 78th in the Henley Index, up 7 spots from 2023. It offers visa-free access to 62 countries, with Singapore leading globally.

Uzbekistan’s passport has climbed to 78th place in the latest Henley & Partners Passport Index, according to Trend reports. This marks a significant improvement of 7 spots from its 85th place ranking in 2023.

Uzbek citizens can now travel to 62 countries either visa-free or with a visa on arrival. In comparison, other Central Asian countries rank as follows: Kazakhstan is 64th (77 countries), Kyrgyzstan 76th (64 countries), Turkmenistan 89th (50 countries), and Tajikistan 82nd (58 countries).

The Singaporean passport holds the top spot globally, granting visa-free access to 195 countries. France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain are tied for second place, offering visa-free entry to 192 countries. Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and South Korea are in third place, with access to 191 countries without a visa.

Henley & Partners’ Passport Index is the premier global ranking of passport strength, reflecting both the ease of travel and the international status of countries. Over the past 18 years, the index has shown a consistent increase in the number of visa-free destinations available worldwide.
